What's in store for us in 2026 at Buick and Volvo

At ALBI le Géant, luxury cars are also an important part of the catalog, and brands such as Buick and Volvo further strengthen our offering. For 2026, both brands are offering improved and spectacular products.

Buick: Modernized Enclave

At ALBI le Géant, Buick arrives in 2026 with a completely redesigned Enclave that clearly focuses on comfort, quiet ride, and technology—priorities that perfectly match the reality of Quebec families. The three-row SUV features a new 2.5-liter turbocharged engine with 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, with front-wheel or all-wheel drive depending on the version, ensuring smooth acceleration even when loaded with passengers and luggage.

At ALBI le Géant, the chassis architecture emphasizes smoothness with strut front suspension and multi-link rear suspension, supported by electronic aids such as StabiliTrak stability control and sophisticated traction management on slippery surfaces. Inside, the star feature is a curved 30-inch screen that combines digital instrumentation and multimedia, accompanied by a high-end Bose audio system, heated and ventilated front seats, and an available second-row captain's chair.

High-end performance and interior

The 2026 Enclave offers between approximately 650 and over 1,600 liters of cargo space depending on the configuration, making it just as comfortable for minor league hockey games as it is for getaways to the Eastern Townships. On the safety front, it comes with a full suite of advanced driver assistance features such as automatic braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot alert, rear cross traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control, with the possibility of remote software updates over the years.

For now, Buick is focusing solely on this gasoline powertrain, but rumors are already circulating about the arrival of mild hybrid variants in the medium term, designed to reduce fuel consumption without sacrificing flexibility.

2026 Volvo XC60: safety and electrification

Volvo is continuing its roadmap toward full electrification with a 2026 XC60 that combines the brand's safety DNA with electrified powertrains well suited to Quebec. The XC60 B5 mild-hybrid combines a 247-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 48-volt system to smooth starts and recover energy during braking, all with standard all-wheel drive and combined fuel consumption of approximately 9.0 L/100 km.

The T8 plug-in hybrid version, with 455 horsepower and 523 lb-ft of torque, combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with an electric motor and an approximately 18.8 kWh battery, providing up to 58 km of electric range and 0-60 mph in around 4.8 seconds, ideal for commuting in zero-emission mode and then heading off for the weekend without range anxiety. The interior features Google Built-in with an 11.2-inch center screen, standard heated front seats, numerous driver assistance features such as Pilot Assist, advanced regenerative braking, and sleek, typically Scandinavian ergonomics.

EX60 electric: Volvo's zero-emission future

At the same time, Volvo is preparing to unveil the all-new EX60, a 100% electric SUV based on the SPA3 platform with a structural battery and a range that is said to be greater than anything the brand has offered to date, all with next-generation driver assistance systems and a redesigned user interface. The XC60 hybrid and EX60 electric will coexist to offer a choice between plug-in hybrid and pure zero emissions, as part of a plan to have an almost entirely electrified range by 2030.
